De conversaci\u00f3n amena, esbelto y de pulcro vestir, habla con mucho entusiasmo sobre sus metas. Sobre su escritorio hay una foto donde aparece con su linda esposa y dos encantadoras hijas.<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/><\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/><\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Pero este de hombre de 39, tiene 20 a\u00f1os de estar en una silla de rueda desde un fatal accidente. Eso no le impide so\u00f1ar. Est\u00e1 convencido que un d\u00eda volver\u00e1 a caminar y ha escrito un libro para motivar a otras personas con discapacidad.<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/><\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">En su despacho, ubicado a pocos metros del mar, en el puerto de La Libertad, nos cuenta su historia, sus sue\u00f1os cumplidos y los que faltan por cumplir.<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/><\/span><b><br \/><\/b><b>Pregunta: \u00bfPor qu\u00e9 quiere dar a conocer este caso en particular?<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/><\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Respuesta: Han sido ya 20 a\u00f1os de estar en una silla de ruedas. Fui v\u00edctima de un accidente de tr\u00e1nsito; me atropell\u00f3 un veh\u00edculo en 1984, el 22 de diciembre. Ten\u00eda 19 a\u00f1os de edad. Para m\u00ed eso fue como un resurgimiento. All\u00ed surgi\u00f3 una forma de vida diferente a la que hab\u00eda tenido.<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/><\/span><b><br \/><\/b><b>P: \u00bfC\u00f3mo fue el accidente?<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/><\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">R: En Zacatecoluca. Andaba celebrando de forma equivocada haber salido de bachiller; hab\u00eda bebido. Caminando hacia la casa de un amigo, me atropell\u00f3 un veh\u00edculo a las 11:00 de la noche. Seg\u00fan yo, hab\u00eda tenido un sue\u00f1o, porque qued\u00e9 inconsciente despu\u00e9s del impacto. Pero cuando volv\u00ed a mi conciencia estaba en un hospital inm\u00f3vil y comenc\u00e9 a pedir agua.<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/><\/span><b><br \/><\/b><b>P: \u00bfEn que colegio estudiaba?<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/><\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">R: En el Santa Cecilia. Era un joven bastante activo, jugaba basketball, nadaba. Siempre aspir\u00e9 a jugar en la primera categor\u00eda de los estudiantiles, no logr\u00e9 ese sue\u00f1o, pero s\u00ed estuve en la juvenil A.<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/><\/span><b><br \/><\/b><b>P: \u00bfQu\u00e9 pas\u00f3 al despertar?<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/><\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">R: Una enfermera me dijo que no me tratara de moverme porque hab\u00eda sido v\u00edctima de un accidente y si me mov\u00eda me iba a da\u00f1ar m\u00e1s. Mis padres no estaban porque soy de La Libertad, y all\u00ed era todo incertidumbre. El d\u00eda del accidente, andada con un amigo, tambi\u00e9n iba ebrio; al ver lo que hab\u00eda ocurrido me dej\u00f3 solo, y la Cruz Roja me recogi\u00f3, trataron de contactar a mi familia y por medio de una agenda pudieron lograrlo.<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/><\/span><b><br \/><\/b><b>P: \u00bfQu\u00e9 pensaron sus padres cuando se dieron cuenta?<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/><\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">R: Fue impactante para todos, incluso para la comunidad. Sab\u00edan los vecinos que era una persona jovial, lleno de energ\u00eda y la gente lo sinti\u00f3; pude ver que el cuarto del hospital estaba lleno, hasta de personas que yo no conoc\u00eda.<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/><\/span><b><br \/><\/b><b>P: \u00bfCu\u00e1ndo le dieron la noticia de c\u00f3mo iba a quedar para toda la vida?<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/><\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">R: Nunca me dijeron que iba a quedar en una silla de ruedas.
